Street sleepers that Cornerstone’s workers engage with are being connected to potentially life-saving support services thanks to a donation of 30 free sim cards.
Charities Connected by Vodaphone granted the sims after hearing how Cornerstone’s rough sleeper outreach team can use them to keep people on the streets connected to information about helpful services such as keeping well in the cold and how to access housing.
The initiative could prevent the type of death we witnessed on the streets of Hartlepool last year.
